Yahoo! doesn't want my money
So I actually went through the whole rigamarole of figuring out the security code from Yahoo! I called the number and waited in a queue that was "experiencing high call volume" for twenty minutes. When I was serviced a nice woman asked me some questions like the street that I grew up on and my birthday and then said she would send me an email to reset my secret security key. So I got the security key in an email that said the following:
"

So hoping to make the ads on Launch.yahoo.com go away I went through this silly security key process. I then finally got to the coveted credit card information entry screen. It beaconed me like the Holy Grail above the castle in Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail. I then entered my credit card information and hit continue and the page refreshed and loaded the same page again asking me to enter my credit card information and to select continue. I tried this five or six times only to learn that I was in an infinite loop. Then I figured it might be some kind of cacheing problem so I closed all my browser windows and tried again only to find the same problem.
Then in desparation I looked for someone at Yahoo! that I could tell about this problem that they were having taking my money. I found a button labelled "Help!" so I clicked on it and there was a nice little form for me to enter my question. I entered a paragraph or so into it figuring a real human being would answer my question and I got to a service run by a system called "Inquira" that had highlighted certain parts of my question and showed useless information in response that had nothing to do with it in an automated fashion. I was asked to rate the responses which I chose not to do and decided that if Yahoo! can't take my money today I was going to have to continue on this quest to pay them some other day.
